LA SINDHI SAMMELAN 2009
Dear Sindhi Brothers and sisters of the world

16th International Sindhi Sammelan at Westin Hotel, Los Angeles Airport, 24-26 Jul 09.
This is shaping up to be a truly International Sammelan. We have people coming from all over the world – India, Singapore, Indonesia, Middle East to name a few. Of course there will be Sindhis from all over USA. Sai Sadhram of Rehrki Sukkar (Sindh) of Bhagat Kanwar Ram fame, and his party of five, have already registered. They are now awaiting US visa. This will be the first time that the Sai will come to a Sammelan taking place in USA and will add much to the existing lively programs. Well known Sindhi Stalwarts like Shri Ram Jethmalani (MP India), Dr Ram Buxani (Dubai), Hindujas (UK), Dr. Gurmukh Jagwani (Maharashtra), Sheriff Indu Shahani (Mumbai) are also planning to attend. Mr. Suresh Keswani (MP India) has indicated that he is going to bring a large party of popular Sindhis from India.
Programs are being finalized and will be uploaded at the website soon. Ghanshyam Vaswani and Kaajal Chandiramani from Mumbai and Pramila Chopra of Chicago will entertain everyone with their soul touching singing. Sindhi Skit by Suresh Malkani & his team, Panel discussions and workshops, youth activities like fun with cooking, speed dating are some of the items to look forward to at the Sammelan. And of course we will have Asa di var and Yoga sessions to start the day. It should be a fun filled three days.
After the Sammelan, there is lot to see in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. So you should plan on staying in LA for some extra days after the Sammelan.
Registration can be done on line at www.SindhiSammelan2009.org. If you wish to register by old fashioned way, then registration form can be downloaded from this web site and mailed with your check. Just a word of caution, the discounted registration rate is only available till 31st March, 2009. Regular rates will apply after that.
